Cast chosen for upcoming one-act plays

FARIBAULT — The first plays offered by Paradise Community Theatre in the 2010 season have begun rehearsals under the direction of Palmer Huff.
The cast of “Bob’s Date,” the first of two one-act comedies, will include Ethan Hanson, Tim Thomas, Charles Winslet, Michael Heil, Killian O’Donnel, Kelly Huff, and Stephanie Wolle. The story unfolds as Bob’s manly attributes; logic, nerves, libido, confidence, bull and emotion are brought to bear in the preparation for his first date in two years.
The character roles in “And the Winner Is,” the second of the evening’s performances, are played by Tim Vizina, Chuck Larson, Jim Cole, Tim Herschberger, Geri Jones and Brittany Meier. The play was written by Mitch Albom, who wrote the very successful play, “Tuesdays with Morrie.” This comedy is based upon the life .. and death of an egocentric movie star, his nomination for an Oscar award, and the mystery of a bedtime prayer from beginning to end.
Performance dates are Feb. 5, 6, 11, 12 and 13 at 7:30 p.m. and Feb. 7 at 2 p.m. Tickets are available from noon to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday andat the door one hour before each performance.
