Mary Ann Borneke
1933 — 2009

JANESVILLE — Mary Ann Borneke, 76, of Janesville, formerly of rural Eagle Lake, died Thursday, Dec. 17, 2009, at her home.
Mary Ann was born on May 23, 1933, in Cleveland, Minn. to Phil and Margaret (Clinton) Simonett. She married Donald Borneke on Aug. 4, 1953.
She is survived by her husband Don; by three daughters and eight sons: Margaret Jane Mulcahey of Waseca, Marie Jewison of Janesville, Theresa Groh of Janesville, Richard Borneke of Eagle Lake, Daniel Borneke of Eagle Lake, Samuel Borneke of Madison Lake, Mark Borneke, John Borneke, Thomas Borneke, Patrick Borneke, all of Janesville, and Joseph Borneke of Waseca; 24 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters, Jerre Berens of Mankato, and Alice Hermer of Mankato; and brother Tim Simonett of Mankato.
She was preceded in death by her son William in 1999, and granddaughter in 1998.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 21, at All Saints Catholic Church in Madison Lake with the Rev. Robert Schneider and the Rev. Kevin Clinton, Co-Celebrants. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery in Madison Lake. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at All Saints Catholic Church in Madison Lake, and will continue on Monday morning for one hour prior to services. There will be a 4:45 p.m. Rosary prayed Sunday afternoon at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. Arnoldt-McRaith Funeral Home of Janesville is handling arrangements.
