Albina A. Kajer
1912 — 2009

CHASKA, Minn. — Albina A. Kajer, 97, formally of Steele County, died Nov. 22, 2009, at Auburn Manor in Chaska, Mn
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Christ the King Catholic Church in Medford. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. Wednesday at the Medford Funeral Home, 310 East Central, followed by a procession to Christ the King Church. Their will be a Catholic daughters rosary recited at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Albina was born Feb. 27, 1912, in Lonsdale, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Malich) Smisek. Albina graduated from Lonsdale High School Attended Bethel Academy to study education. Albina taught in a one room school before her marriage. She was united in marriage to Benjamin Kajer in 1936 in Lonsdale. Albina was a homemaker while her children were at home.
Albina is survived by her children Jim Kajer of Colorado, Mary Wreght of Colorado, Wayne Kayer of Tennessee, and Joanne Gruber of Waconia, Minn. Memorials to St. Mary’s School.
Medford Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
