MEDFORD — With funding from Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation (SMIF) for equipment, Custom Building Components, Inc. (CBC) will be able to expand business. The company, located in Medford, specializes in manufacturing and installing exterior and interior wood wall panels, used in commercial and residential construction.
Five former workers from Fabricated Wood Products, Inc. (FWP) created the new company, bringing over 70 years of combined experience in this type of work. President/CEO Pat Anderson says that their target market is general contractors and developers of multi-family housing projects. The company Web site is: www.cbcpanels.com
“We’re striving to become one of the top wall panel manufacturers in the region for use in the growing construction sector of elder care facilities, and other light commercial projects,” Anderson stated. “But CBC also contracts for single-family homes, restaurants, child care centers, office buildings and shopping centers.
