1947 — 2009
BARRETT — Peggy Nordby, 62, Barrett, died Friday, Aug. 21, 2009, at the Barrett Care Center.
Funeral services for Peggy Nordby will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Erickson-Smith Funeral Home in Elbow Lake. Burial will be in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Wendell. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at the Funeral Home.
Peggy was born on June 23, 1947, in Fergus Falls, Minn., to Ole and Anna (Asleson) Karlstad of Wendell. She grew up and attended school in Wendell and Elbow Lake. In 1964, Peggy was united in marriage to Paul Olaf Nordby. In 1975, they moved to Owatonna where Peggy worked at the Owatonna Nursing Home.
She is survived by her sons Mike Nordby of Northfield, Gary Nordby of Oceanside, Calif., Robert Nordby of Bangor, Wis., and Andrew Nordby of Owatonna; 12 grandchildren; sisters Marian Pederson of Barrett, Joyce Knodle of Fergus Falls, Judy Erickson of Kensington, and Barbara Weeks of Ft. Calhoun, Neb.; brothers Warren Karlstad of rural Barrett and David Karlstad of Duluth.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Duane Karlstad, sister Kathryn Watne, and grandson David Hernandez.
