Nettie Vera (Hrichena) Langager

RED WING — Nettie Vera (Hrichena) Langager, 84, of Red Wing, died at her home Wednesday, June 17.
She was born Feb. 5, 1925, in Max, N.D., the daughter of Ehnat and Vera (Kabanuk) Hrichena. She married Eldor Langager of Epping, N.D. on June 8, 1947. He was an ordained minister of the Evangelical Covenant Church. Together they ministered for almost 50 years in the following Covenant churches: Dale, Minn., Ceresco, Neb., Thief River Falls, Minn., Traverse City, Mich., Braham, Minn., Owatonna, Minn., Ellsworth (Zion), Wis., Eau Claire, Wis. and Stockholm (Calvary) Wis. They moved to Potter Ridge Assisted Living in Red Wing, July 2006. Eldor passed away November 2007.
She is survived by sons, Stephen of Waseca and the Rev. Nathan of Escanaba, Mich.; daughter, Margaret Anderson of Bay City, Wis.; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother and sister.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 24, at the First Covenant Church of Red Wing with the Rev. Timothy Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Burnside Cemetery, Red Wing. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, at the church and for one hour before the service on Wednesday. Cards or memorials rather than flowers are preferred.
